From the article: Who Are the Las Vegas Mayoral Candidates?
With a new era, at least in the Mayor's office, approaching, we wanted to know what Las Vegans see as the most pressing issue facing he city today. Budget shortfalls? Corruption? Jobs?

- I've never personally owned a quilt until four mohtns ago when fire, smoke, and water destroyed the interior of my apartment and a quilt was donated to me by an organization of women in town. My grandmother made quilts using hawaiin print shirts and muumuu's to give life to clothing too worn to wear. She died almost twenty years ago and took her quilting skills and recipes with her. Your quilts like hers tell a story. Thank you and Aloha.

Pressing issues must be prioritized
- There are enough issues, that to pick one is difficult. However, my best guess is that Las Vegas needs to work with the State to attract more diversified businesses to the city and county. Living off the entertainment industry is risky in the current economic cllimate. We need light manufacturing and service industries that have a global outreach.
