In February 2008, 40,000 people were contacted that they may have been exposed to HIV and hepatitis strains B and C and possibly other bloodborne pathogens after having surgical procedures at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, (700 Shadow Lane). Since then, 6 other centers have shut down.
