Top Ten Celebrity Chef Owned Restaurants in Las Vegas

Dine With the Culinary Stars

By

Las Vegas is chock full of amazing restaurants, but the cream of the crop are owned by Celebrity Chefs like Bobby Flay and Emeril Lugasse. To help you make an educated choice I've selected my Top Ten Celebrity Chef Owned Restaurants in Las Vegas. These culinary adventures will expand your mind and your palate and will I hope make locals remember that there are numerous amazing places to dine right in our back yard.

1. Mesa Grill

Owned by Chef Megastar Bobby Flay, Mesa Grill first caught my attention a few months before it opened at Caesar's Palace. I had recently moved to Vegas and worked across the street. When Mesa Grill opened I was one of the first to go thanks to my room mate who was hired as a server. The food and service was as amazing and approachable as Flay is on his TV shows on the Food Network, Cooking Channel and NBC.

Mesa Grill is open for Lunch Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, nightly Dinner from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Weekend Brunch from 10:30 Am to 3:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. See menus here Call for reservations.

2. Robuchon

Robuchon at the MGM Grand is a magnificent restaurant owned by Master French Chef Joel Robuchon who was dubbed the Chef of the Century back in 1989. What this means for us locals is that if you want amazing French cuisine then there is no place better in all of Vegas than Robuchon. The awards and accolades are too numerous to list here, but suffice to say a night at Robuchon will be one long remembered and oft repeated.

Open nightly for dinner only. Friday and Saturday from 5:30 Pm to 10:30 PM and Thursday through Sunday from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Reservations are a must.See Menus Here

3. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill

Few Celebrity Chef's have more celebrity than Wolfgang Puck. From the film The Muse to his Emmy award winning show Wolfgang Puck is one of the original Celebrity Chefs. It is therefore of little wonder that his first Las Vegas restaurant earns a spot on this list. Taking standard bar fare and morphing it into a culinary experience you'll want to return to again and again this restaurant and bar has been an MGM Grand staple for years.

Open 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM, Monday – Thursday , 11:30 AM – 11:00 PM, Friday – Sunday and Late Night Dining from 11:00 PM. - 6:00 AM, DailyWolfgang Puck Bar and Grill

4. Craftsteak

I assure you that despite the heavy presence of the MGM Grand in this list I am in no way being compensated by them. They are not giving me free meals, kickback or the like. Sadly my job isn't that cool (Ha). But, head to Craftsteak just once and you'll agree that it deserves to be on the list of Top Ten Celebrity Chef Owned Restaurants in Las Vegas

Founded by Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio, Craftsteak is high end dining at its hippest best. Cheap it is not, but oh my is it amazing. See the menus here.

5. Lagasse Stadium

No insult to the innumerable sports bars across Las Vegas, but as my buddy would say "none of ya'll can hold a candle" to Lagasse Stadium at The Palazzo. Sports on dozens of TVs and top notch food make Lagasse Stadium a long time favorite. Better still you can make a bet at the sportsbook.

Emeril Lagasse isn't just a Celebrity Chef, he seems like a guy who could hang with you and your buddies and watch The Saints. Enjoy all this New Orleans legend has to offer in one of the most unique celebrity restaurants anywhere. Check out the menu.

Open Monday to Friday from 11:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 A.M. - 10:00 P.M.

6. Carnevino Steakhouse

Here is another Palazzo restaurant (let the jokes begin) that most certainly deserves its place on this list. Mario Batali, an Iron Chef favorite and all around entertaining fella, creates amazing wine and Italian food pairings at this fantastic restaurant.

Unlike many of the dining establishments on this list, Carnevino features reasonable prices that even us locals can afford. See the menu here.

Open daily for Lunch from 12:00 AM to 5:00PM ad Dinner from 5:)) PM to 11:)) PM with a late night menu til at least Midnight.

7. Table 10

No round up of celebrity chefs is complete without New Orlean's legend Emeril Lagasse, so lucky for him this is his second appearance on my list. Table 10 is all that you would expect from a fine New Orlean's dining experience. It continues Emeril's strong relationship with The Palazzo (fire away) to bring fine food tot he people for a reasonable price.

Featuring Lunch, Dinner and a very reasonable Happy Hour (a rarity on the Las Vegas Strip)Table 10 is a place to enjoy, bring friends, a date and then come back again and again. Lunch Daily from 11 AM to 5 PM Dinner Daily from 5 PM to 10 PM Happy Hour Daily from 3 PM to 6 PM

8. Nobu

Nobu at the Hard Rock Hotel is a long time local fave. If you're int he mood for sushi this is the place to go. Japanese Nobu Matsuhisa is more famous for his food than his cameo in Austin Powers: Goldmember and that is a good things for us dining aficionados.

Loud, boisterous and fun, this is a place to go to see and be seen. Like all Hard Rock venues the people watching is half the fun. Check out their menu here.

9. Gordon Ramsay Steak

Love or hate the guy, there is one undeniable truth; Gordon Ramsay is a heck of a chef. Paris Casino has chosen to overlook (or embrace) this fiery Hell's Kitchen maestro and we locals are better off for it

While a bit pricier than some of the other restaurants on this list you'll find it difficult to get a better steak anywhere in the Valley. See the full menu here.

Open daily from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM for Dinner, with drinks until midnight on weekends.

10. Fleur

French cuisine done Tapas style by master chef Hubert Keller sounds like a fantastic way to spend an evening to me. While this Mandalay Bay eatery may be French at heart, Chef Keller manages to bring culinary samplings from across the globe into his fine dining establishment.

This casual restaurant is a vast improvement in feel and mood than Chef Keller's previously stuffier incarnation of Fleur and we are the better for it. Reasonable prices mix with a fun, open atmosphere for a definite must do.

Fleur is open for Lunch from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Dinner from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. See the menu here.
