Named a Best of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal (and this food lover) since 2004, Lindo Michoacan is as authentic as Mexican food can get outside of the Mexican State of Michoacan. A massive menu, great service and a mariachi band will make you come often to all four Las Vegas Valley locations.

If you love great authentic Mexican food, you will e hard pressed to find better anywhere.

Guide Review

I first went to Lindo Michoacan's Desert Inn location just days after I first moved to Las Vegas. It was billed by friends as the "Best Mexican Food in Vegas," but I had reservations. I did not know that Lindo Michoacan was family run. I had no idea that the food came from authentic recipes learned by original owner Javier Barajas from nuns in a convent in Michoacan, Mexico. In truth I had no idea that I was in for one of the most fabulous Mexican food experiences of my life, an experience I have repeated innumerable times since.

Lindo Michoacan serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Sure you can get tacos and nachos and the like, but the massive menu will overwhelm you with choices. From carnitas (pork) to especialidades del mar (seafood specialties) this menu will leave you begging for recommendations. My longtime favorite is the Gallo el Chipolte Estilo, a grilled chicken breast with garlic, peppers, onions, olives and a fiery chipolte sauce. Fabulous and filling, this dish also has an in house game to heat up the fun. Pronounce it's other name "Parangaricutirimicuaro" right and they'll give you a house rita for your troubles (restrictions apply). With great service and outstanding food, Lindo Michoacan will likely continue to dominate as my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Valley.
