Boxing has long been king in Las Vegas, and while MMA, table games, sportsbetting and Cirque du Soleil also thrive in Sin City, when a big boxing bout comes to town all eyes are on the ring. It is therefore of little surprise that Las Vegas has the best and most options for watching live boxing.

Below you will find my list of the best places to watch live boxing in Las Vegas. While I will make specific venue suggestions the list is really a description of the types of ways/places you watch the next big match. I have listed them in descending order of awesomeness.

Watch Boxing Live at the MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay.

While The Joint does host smaller boxing matches, most of the big time boxing bouts take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena or the Mandalay Bay Events Center. These are the matches that bring millions into Vegas and make stars of boxers like Mayweather, Coto, Alvarez and Pacquioa. The energy, the power and the smell of a live boxing match must be experienced to be truly understood. These are the venues to make memories that you'll brag about for the rest of your life.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena has been the boxing venue since the days when Tyson boxed instead of performing in a one man show. It seats just under 17,000 people and is hands down the best way to watch boxing. The tickets are pricy, but the people watching of actors, musicians, sports legends and high rollers complete with high priced arm candy is hard to beat. The Mandalay Bay Events Center may not host the biggest bouts in boxing, but on occasion a great match comes to town and rocks this 12,000 seat arena. After the MGM Grand Garden Arena, this is the place in Las Vegas to see live boxing. Get Your Mandalay Bay Events Tickets Here.

Watch Boxing Live Via Closed Circuit Feed at These MGM Resorts

so you can't get down ringside for the big bout. I feel your pain, and so do the folks at a variety of MGM Resorts where you can pay to watch the closed circuit feed of the match. It's like getting the pay per view at the greatest Las Vegas party you'll ever attend. While locations will sometimes change depending on the level of the bout, the following venues usually host closed circuit parties.

  • Aria - Usually hosted in the Ironwood Ballroom.
  • Bellagio - Usually hosted at Hyde Bellagio.
  • Mandalay Bay - Hosted at The Mandalay Bay Events Center when the bout is at the MGM Grand.
  • The Mirage - Call for Details - 702-791-7111
  • New York New York - Call for Details - 816-815-4365
  • Monte Carlo - Usually hosted at the Pub or Diablo's
  • Planet Hollywood - Blondie,s usually has the cheapest option.

These venues usually have food and drinks and other special events. Buy Tickets to Closed Circuit Boxing Events Across Las Vegas.

Watch Boxing at Sportsbooks Around Las Vegas

This is where finding a place to watch boxing can get a bit iffy. While some sportsbooks will have some boxing matches, many do not. The best thing to do is to contact each sportsbook individually and ask. To that end I'll provided you with my list of Top Ten Las Vegas Sportsbooks, because lets face it, you don't want to watch the bout without having a bit of stakes in it.

Watch Boxing at Sports Bars Around Las Vegas.

Here's where it gets even more confusing. Many bars across the Valley will spring for the pay per view, but many others will not. To help you find potential places to watch the next big boxing match I've included my list of Las Vegas sports bars. Always call ahead to see if they'll be carrying it.
