Sunday Funday
Sunday is supposed to be a day of relaxation. This we've been told by teachers and parents since we were young. But in a city like Las Vegas there are many ways to relax while adding a bit of fun into the mix. To that end I give you the first in a long line of Sunday Funday posts.
So you're a Las Vegas resident. Regardless of whether you're a native or a recent transplant, you have likely fallen into a same old same old routine and have forgotten that you live in the entertainment capital of the world. I'm here to help you find something new and entertaining to do that you may have never done or have not done in some time.
Something Free
Sure the The Fountains of Bellagio are famous and you may see them every day on your way to work, but when was the last time you actually went out of your way to experience them? As one friend, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, recently told me "I see it every day from my window at work, but only recently realized I'd never actually seen it." Featuring numerous classic and contemporary songs the Fountains of Bellagio remain world famous for a reason. Take a date or maybe meet one. The show goes on all day and all night.
Something Fun
The first time I ziplined was in the jungles of Costa Rica. While Las Vegas is a far cry from the damp and wondrous rain forest Fremont Street Flightlinez does give the brave souls who zip along the canopy of Downtown Ls Vegas a sight nearly as breathtaking.
Something Tasty.
After ziplining you'll want a taste of the tropical and few place in Las Vegas cater to the beach and the sand and the tikis and the music than Frankie's Tiki Room on Charleston. This 24 hour oasis will seem miles from the chaos of the strip. Sip on a rum slogged Thurston Howl or an energy charged Bombora Blast and regail friends with tall tales of surfing the riptides.
