Sunday Funday
"On the Seventh Day God Rested." While God most certainly deserved a day of rest after creating the entire universe, our jobs here in Las Vegas are not so strenuous that we need to rest on Sundays. Lucky us, because Las Vegas has some of the most exciting, educational and fun things to do of any city on Earth.
I'm here to make suggestions for things to do on Sundays that may seem out of the norm. Things you may not have thought of, or perhaps things you forgot. Las Vegas is an amazing place to live and Sunday Fundays are the best way to live in Las Vegas.
Something Free
It's NFL season and Las Vegas is chock full of great places to watch the game. My favorites include the sportsbooks at Caesar's, The Palms and Bally's. While there toss a few bucks down on your favorite team and you can get free cocktails. Other great options include Buffalo Wild Wings and these NFL team themed bars where you can feel right at home.
Something Fun
Las Vegas has so many shows and attractions that sometimes they begin to seem the same. This can most certainly not be said for Dig This, a big giant sandbox where you get to drive around bulldozers and excavators and generally create mayhem. You'll get training and then spend a few hours learning how to dig holes, move basketballs and tires around with finesse and tear through an obstacle course. what could be more fun than that? You say you've done it all, well if you haven't plowed a furrow in the sand with these high powered construction vehicles than you haven't. Just think of the looks you'll get in the board room or by the water cooler on Monday when you regale your co-workers with the tale.
Something Tasty
When the Cosmopolitan opened, Las Vegan's knew it would be the last mega resort for the foreseeable future. Little could we have guessed that it would become one of the go to destinations for locals. Featuring several great new venues to catch a concert, a great pool and some amazing dining options. One of the best is D.O.C.G., a perfect pot to rest the heels, sip a cocktail and enjoy some great food, all in a chill and inviting atmosphere that is perfect nightcap to a fun filled day.
