When Santana ended his residency Supernatural at The Joint at Hard Rock we Las Vegans felt the end of an era had come. All to often we Las Vegas locals neglect the greatness in or own backyard. When was the last time you took a trip to the Grand Canyon, took in a Cirque du Soleil show or hit a Club on the Strip?
It's an understandable attitude. After all the Grand Canyon isn't going anywhere, Cirque seems nearly as immortal and there's always a new Vegas ultra lounge to check out. Having this amount of greatness in our backyard can have a spoiling effect on us.
But every once in a while a long time residency comes to a close and if we fail to pay attention we may wake up one morning to realize that we missed out on the best of Vegas.
