Amid news that the city of North Las Vegas' financial woes continue, the LA Times is reporting that home prices in Las Vegas are up from the previous year. While the increase is small, 2.5%, it does hint that the recession that has hit Vegas harder than most of the country is starting to wane.
While full recovery is still a ways off, the news is welcome to those who purchased real estate at the height of the craze and have lost thousands. Time will tell if the prices increase and the recovery continues.
