Las Vegas has a reputation for glitz and glamor and some would say sleaze. While Vegas has never hidden from these truths, it has slowly over the last decade begun to become much more. With major projects to revitalize areas of the Valley this growth is steady and long overdue. At the center of this growth and revitalization is the Downtown area centered on Fremont Street.
On March 10th, Downtown will get huge boost when the Smith Center for The Performing Arts opens on Symphony Park Ave a few blocks from the Fremont Street Experience. This $470 million dollar arts and performing center will host concerts, traveling Broadway shows, jazz musicians and be home to the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Nevada Ballet Theater.
