Ways to Commemorate 9/11 in Las Vegas

It seems only yesterday that my eyes were glued to the TV with horror as the second plane impacted the World Trade Center and while I knew that America would survive, even grow stronger, I also knew that the world would forever change. The news of the attacks first came to me from an unlikely source, Howard Stern's radio program, as I turned my car on to head to work. It was before I'd ever set foot in Las Vegas but soon I'd make the move to Sin City to open Margaritaville and in our own small way we parrot heads managed to aid the turnaround in the Las Vegas economy.

Like all Americans that day remains fixated in our minds. And like most of you I want to pay my respects on this 10th anniversary of the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor. Once again our friends at the Las Vegas Review Journal have stepped it up with a comprehensive list of all the events set to commemorate this horrible day.

I encourage all of you to take part and remember why the United States of America remains the greatest country on Earth.
