Online shoe retailer Zappos plans to move into the former Las Vegas City Hall building. The New York Times reports the move could revitalize downtown Las Vegas. "Zappos moving here is giant for us, just a total change in history," said Mayor Oscar Goodman to The New York Times.
Zappos pulled in more than $1 billion in sales during 2009, and plans to move its headquarters from Henderson, Nev. "I want to be in an area where everyone feels like they can hang out all the time and where there's not a huge distinction between working and playing," said company founder and CEO Tony Hsieh to the New York Times.
