All to often we Las Vegas locals neglect the greatness in or own backyard. When was the last time you took a trip to the Grand Canyon, took in a Cirque du Soleil show or hit a Club on the Strip?
It's an understandable attitude. After all the Grand Canyon isn't going anywhere, Cirque seems nearly as immortal and there's always a new Vegas ultra lounge to check out. Having this amount of greatness in our backyard can have a spoiling effect on us.
But every once in a while a long time residency comes to a close and if we fail to pay attention we may wake up one morning to realize that we missed out on the best of Vegas.
This is the truth that will face us when legendary guitar wizard Carlos Santana ends his phenomenal residency Supernatural. This Mexican rock god has resurrected the 1970's Santana Live for the last several years and has dominated the box office at the Joint at Hard Rock.
Santana will play a few more dates in January, before taking a hiatus. When he returns in April it just may be his last run ever in Las Vegas. Don't be "that guy" and wake up one morning to realize you've missed one of the best shows to hit Vegas in years. Grab your tickets, wander off the Strip and take in the Supernatural nature of the guitar god Carlos Santana while you still can.p>Image Courtesy of Santana.com
