Las Vegas casino companies such as MGM Resorts International and Boyd Gaming are taking legal action against a petition drive for a publicly-funded sports arena. With unemployment in the state hitting 14.4% for August, a sports arena could attract tourists, and also create new jobs in Sin City.
Meanwhile, MGM Resorts is instead focusing on attracting more luxury stores to Crystals at CityCenter. Hmm, I think executives at MGM need to adjust their priorities. It won't matter how many Prada stores there are in Las Vegas if approximately one out of seven people remain unemployed! What do you think? Share your comments below.
