July Breaks Heat Record in Vegas

Follow me on:

Las Vegas heated up in July, and the month set a new record for triple-digit highs every day of the month. The average temperature at McCarran International Airport hit 96.2 degrees for July, breaking the month's previous record of 95.4 degrees in July 2007.

Around Las Vegas, 21-and-up pools offer the chance to cool off during the heat wave. Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay even took the unusual move of requiring tops to help the pool "reach out to more people." Local customers tend to frequent the pool during the week. How did you beat the heat last month? Share your comments below.
