Ring in the Year of the Ox

Friday January 23, 2009
The Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is celebrating the 2009 Chinese New Year, the Year of the Ox, with a unique display. The Conservatory’s design is guided by the ancient practice of Feng Shui, or the art of using surroundings to attract harmony, balance and positive life energy.

The display features a 15-foot long ox, the symbol of prosperity. An 18-foot-tall Chinese God of Wealth and Fortune is just a few feet away, surrounded by I-Ching coins, a traditional Chinese money symbol.

Visitors are invited to celebrate Chinese New Year in the Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens through February 28th. The display is open to the general public and admission is free.

The Bellagio is located at 3600 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas.
